Stepping Stones Outpatient Center offers structured, evidence-based Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) for adults 18 and older who are managing a variety of behavioral health challenges. Our outpatient services are designed to support individuals in California who need more than standard outpatient care but do not require 24/7 inpatient hospitalization.
Our IOP tracks focus on skill-building, emotional regulation, and group-based support, helping participants gain greater stability and insight into their mental health. Patients attend group therapy sessions that emphasize practical tools and coping strategies for dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and everyday stressors.
Unlike traditional talk therapy settings, our outpatient program prioritizes education-driven group therapy that helps participants develop life skills, increase emotional awareness, and practice healthier responses to stress.

Our IOP may be appropriate for individuals who:
- Experience moderate symptoms of anxiety, depression, or mood instability
- Have difficulty managing daily stress and maintaining healthy relationships
- Are stepping down from inpatient care or need more structure than weekly therapy sessions
- Are medically stable, with no active suicidal or self-harming behaviors
- Are seeking support within a structured, peer-based environment
- May be managing co-occurring conditions such as mild substance use, under control
- Can commit to attending group therapy regularly and participating fully in the program
