On Saturday, January 13th, BBHH attended the Health and Fitness Expo put on by the Bakersfield Downtown Business Association. This year it was held out Total Woman Fitzone on Truxtun Ave.
A lot of people braved the cold to come out and have a good time. Total Woman had an instructor outside doing a mini Zumba lesson to keep participants warm. There was good food and a lot of great information on ways to stay fit and healthy in Bakersfield. Representatives were on hand from Beyond Martial Arts, Omni Family Healthcare, Bakersfield Track Club, La Rosa, Sam’s Club and the Ibuprofen Running Team, along with some food vendors like, Toss It Salad Bar. We were on hand to talk about the importance of mental health alongside our peers in other fields.
As always, we were happy to spend a Saturday out engaging our community and showing support. We look forward to the next event!
