Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital celebrated our Grand Re-Opening on January 25th with a ribbon cutting provided by The Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. It was a great night with amazing company.
In October of 2015, Signature Healthcare bought the building we are now in. In the last couple of years, BBHH has transformed from being a med/surge hospital to the only freestanding psychiatric hospital in all of Kern County. We have done extensive remodeling throughout the hospital to not only update our facility, but to make it more comfortable and welcoming. At 4:00p.m., we opened our doors to the community and invited everyone to see the renovations, enjoy some food and get to know our staff a bit.
We were honored to have several members from our local and state government represented here that evening. Along with Mayor Karen Goh, there were representatives from Senator Kevin McCarthy’s office, from Senator’s Jean Fuller and Andy Vidak’s offices, and from Assembly Member Vince Fong’s office.
The Greater Bakersfield Chamber, The Hispanic Chamber and the Bakersfield Downtown Business Association presented our CEO Beckie Shauinger, with Certificates of Recognition.
