It was a beautiful day to be out at Yokuts Park to support CSF Foundation’s 2018 Health Fair. The event was held from 9am until 2pm, Saturday, August 25th, and there were doctors and staff on site for free screenings for the community. You could talk to doctors ranging from general surgeons and gynecologist to optometrists, bariatric specialists and chiropractors. The community was lined up early and attendance was high with an estimated 800 community members coming out to the event.
Danny Morrison was there from 103.9 FM to keep us all entertained and play some fantastic music. He even got the crowd to do the Cha-Cha Slide. In addition to the dancing there was a yoga class, tai chi demonstration and a Zumba class, all free to the attendees. Rudy Salas was in attendance as well, and spoke to the crowd about the importance of community events like these. Mayor Karen Goh was in attendance as well, taking pictures and talking to vendors and the community.
Not only was there fun to be had, but good food as well as prizes. Fresco Mexican Grill was there with some amazing food and Kona Ice was making shaved ice to cool everyone off. There were some really great prizes raffled off to the attendees as well; two bikes, a gardening basked, gift cards, a dining room set, and much more.
Overall it was a fantastic event and a nice day to be out in the community. We look forward to participating next year!
