Job Summary

Assists the utilization review process taking on various tasks including data collection of demographic, claim and medical information; non-medical analysis; and outcomes reporting. Performs routine record keeping tasks. Provide clerical support to the department.

Education

High School or equivalent combination of training, education and experience. AA strongly preferred.

Position Summary:

The Dietary Aid works with the dietician in discussing dietary requirements and develop menus and nutritional care plans.  They aide assist the cook in determining the amount and type of food and supplies required for daily meals. They also assist in the preparation and serving to the patients and staff. Before distribution, checks the special diet trays and make sure that it follows the dining guidelines.  The dietary aide is responsible for keeping a complete food supply in the kitchen. They check stock and help in obtaining them. Then the dietary aid records the data on flow sheets and other documentation. A dietary aide may also be needed to help the cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining rooms.
